Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is an immune-mediated, inflammatory condition that can be progressive and pervasive. Patients may experience a burden of symptoms ranging from chronic pain to malodorous discharge.^1,2

Understanding HS can lead to earlier diagnosis, allowing for timely intervention to slow the progression of disease.^3-6

Current treatment options leave many patients with less than desired outcomes.³ Effective management of HS requires a better understanding of the underlying pathophysiology to develop a comprehensive standard of care.^6,7
